The Talaris (De La Rue) 8672 is a robust, simple and accurate bank note counter. This has been heavily used where large volumes of poor quality bank notes need to be counted.

In the UK it has been used as a heavy duty bank note counter and due to its size and ability to count many other media. Counting at up to 1,750 notes a minute Election ballot papers, prescriptions, vouchers and gift certificates.

The 8672 high function, heavy duty desktop currency counter, provides currency specific authentication at speeds of up to 1750 notes per minute.

High speed performance

The heavy duty machine provides smooth, fast and reliable processing of banknotes and other documents, such as cheques. With a choice of three throughput speeds, the 8672 adapts automatically to individual note characteristics enabling more constant counting and is ideal for environments where high volumes of notes are processed.

Multiple functionality

Rogue note detection by height (SD) is standard for all non-Euro models. With currency-specific counterfeit detection options and 3 levels of totals, the 8672 is suitable for use in cash centres and large retail and commercial deposit proofing and preparing centres.

Easy to use

The large LCD display and touch pad places the control of the machine at the operator’s fingertips. The wide document loading and removal trays ensure fast, efficient processing.

Range of options

Euro models are available with optional UV detection. Non-Euro models are available with the following counterfeit detection options:

UV - checks banknote paper for fluorescence

CDA - measures the presence of magnetic ink

MTD - checks for the presence of metal thread

Intelligent

An optional RS232 serial port provides an easy interface to a printer, PC or other device for reconciliation.
